National Electrical and Communications Association

NECA – the National Electrical and Communications Association, is the peak industry body representing the interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry across Australia. They have close to 5,000 member organisations and their members employ around 100,000 people.

NECA is run by contractors, for contractors, and represents members in all states and territories of Australia. All our board members – at the national and state and territory level, are electrical contractors. And each board has a good mix of small, medium and large enterprises represented. As a result, they understand what their members are looking for in their member services and technical support.

Each chapter of NECA is unique because each market is different. But each state and territory provides their members with a package of core services built around:

  • Industrial relations (IR),
  • Workplace, health & safety (WHS),
  • Technical support – including TKB,
  • Training & development, and
  • Apprentice training & support (via our GTOs).

Their four key values – Respect, Excellence, Integrity, and Loyalty define the way NECA interacts with their members, communicate with each other and their decision-making.
