PDC NSW worked with the Star Group and Siemon to install a copper and fibre communications network for the University Technology Sydney.
Pacific Datacom successfully fit out 16 floors of office space, faculty rooms and classrooms, which consisted of fibre back-bone cabling through the building risers and horizontal copper cabling to outlets at each desk-top or classroom, as well as a fit out of the communication closets.
We worked closely with Star Group to stage, set-up and make multiple deliveries to the university job site over a 6-month period. We also worked with Star Group to meet critical deadlines to finish the project on time, as this was a strict requirement by the client. We were also able to meet budget and solve a few problems along the way so everyone was really happy.

In an unprecedented situation, UTS had three concurrent projects overlapping with each other. Logistically this presented many challenges as each project was under strict timelines.”

Leading from these projects, Siemon has extended its solution offering deeper into both the AV and security networks, with Pacific Datacom being a key component to this success, and subsequently holding solution sets to support rapid supply as required for future projects and upgrades.”
